GLAZING
- Wash your fired (bisque) piece before you start glazing. This will help you get rid of extra clay dust from the kiln.
- Pour the glazes you want to use into your pallet, be mindful of how much glaze you are pouring out. DO NOT WASTE THIS STUFF, IT IS EXPENSIVE !!!
- draw your design in pencil on your clay piece
- make sure you use more then 3 colors on your project
- you must use at least 3-4 coats of glaze on the red clay
- do not glaze the bottom of your piece. You may glaze the bottom of your lid.
- if your glaze is sloppy when you paint it on it will be even sloppier when it is fired int he kiln for the second time.
- use and Xacto knife to scratch off the mistake.
