Themed Container

Each of you will be designing and creating your own themed ceramic container complete with a lid. 

We will watch the video below as a class to see how to being the container making process

Before you being please read over the construction checklist for creating a successful container

Slab Container Construction
Checklist

___- pick 3 themes for 3 different containers and draw them
      complete with a lid

___ - get one of your 3 drawings approved by the teacher


___ - make a template base out of paper (also same as the      lid)

___ - roll a slab and use your paper template to cut out a base and lid

___ - create your remaining slabs ( walls ) and begin assembling

Glazing Checklist

__ - 4 or more colors

___- use at least 2 thick coats in opposite directions

___- glaze neatly without any white clay showing through 

** Things to remember
*container should be no bigger then your hand
*all sides and rolled slabs need to be even
*smooth all rough edges
